Fall 2003

Wow!  What an exciting time for the City of Everett.  On October 4th the first puck will drop in the new Everett Regional Special Events Center.

Rich Anderson, our managing officer, has been involved in the process from the beginning in the role of treasurer of the Public Facilities District (PFD).  The board was formed in April of 2001 and has been going full speed since then.  Rich played an integral part in the financial feasibility review, the site selection, and the selection of the design and award of the contract to PCL Construction Services.

With the building underway there were still many more things that needed to be decided. Rich’s financial expertise was very helpful to the PFD in negotiations for the Western Hockey League franchise, now named the Everett Silvertips, the management company, concessionaires, sponsorships and advertising.

Earl Dutton, Chairman of the Public Facilities District, said “Rich’s knowledge of financial matters and his willingness to devote his time has been a great asset.  He has been a strong contributor and has kept us on track.  We will be completing the Center under budget and ahead of schedule.  I am very thankful to have Rich on the board. I can’t find enough good things to say about him.”

Rich will continue his work on the PFD until his 4-year term expires in December of 2004.  Rich says this has been a great experience for him and he is appreciative of his fellow firm owners and staff for the support they have shown which has enabled him to be a part this great new addition to the community.
