Summer 2003
Rich Anderson, our firm’s managing partner, has been very active in Compass Health over the past many years. He started his volunteer work in 1991 with Luther Child Center, which has since become LifeNet Health and most recently Compass Health. Compass Health is the primary mental health care provider for Snohomish, Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties. Rich provided the necessary leadership and financial expertise to help guide the program through the past mergers. Through these mergers of service providers Compass has been able to eliminate duplication of overhead costs and has been able to maximize service dollars.
Compass is now viewed nationally as a program model, which best provides services in a collaborative fashion. With community based care solutions, Compass has been able to treat those with mental conditions, whereby reducing the pressure on hospital emergency rooms and the judicial system. One of the ways in which they are able to do this is through the acquisition of the Bailey Center (formerly Bethany on Broadway). The Bailey Center provides care for patients in crisis, outpatients, drop-ins, and daily medical services to persons in need of mental healthcare.
Hascal, Sjoholm & Co., P.S. is very proud of all that Rich has done to help Compass Health reach their goals and Rich is very thankful for all of the support he gets from his other shareholders in the firm which allows him to spend the necessary time on community work such as this.
If you have any questions about ways you can help Compass Health, please feel free to call Rich or visit the Compass Health website @ www.compasshealth.org.
